If you are interested in Super Bowl tickets, you better be very lucky or have plenty of money to spend. You may be able to pay $40 for a ticket to a regular season game, but the Super Bowl is an entirely different event.
If you are lucky, you may have a chance to win some Super Bowl tickets in the drawing held by the NFL each year. The Official website of the NFL states that a person can enter the drawing by requesting tickets between February 1 and June 1 of the year preceding the game in question. You are only allowed one request per household, but if you are selected in the drawing, you will have the chance to purchase two tickets.
The information is a bit vague. There is no indication of how many random contestants are going to be drawn or what the cost of the tickets will be. But if you feel lucky, you can enter the drawing by sending a certified letter with your request to the address below.

The other option to obtain Super Bowl tickets is to have lots of money. This year the Super Bowl is being held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee is offering several ticket packages starting at $4,000 per person for the upper section. For the $100,000 VIP package, you could get 10 tickets plus 10 tickets to the pre and post game parties.
If you have this kind of money to spend, I'm sorry to tell you that the Arizona Host Committee is no longer an option. Every single package on the site has already been sold out! If you are interested in getting Super Bowl tickets at this point, you'll have to search the secondary markets like eBay and Craigslist. But buyer beware! Make sure you find a seller you can trust.
